Some session just feel like a celebration from start to finish-- and Rolando's was exactly that.

I've had the privilege of knowing Rolando since his middle school days, and watching him grow into the young man he is today has been nothing short of incredible. So when it came time to capture his senior portraits, It wasn't just another session for me -- it was a honor to be trusted to document one of the many great accomplishments in his life.

We kicked off his senior portrait session at Hyde Park Church parking garage in Austin, than made our way to the beautiful open space of Commons Ford metro Park. Two completely different backdrops, and Rolando owned every single one of them.

From the moment we started, it was clear that Rolando is a free spirit with a big personality and an even bigger smile. Goofy, adventurous, and completely himself -- there was never a dull moment. the laughs were constant, and the candid moments practically captured themselves. the laughs were constant, and the candid moments practically captured themselves.

For his look, Rolando kept it classic and cool -- a black henley, jeans, and cowboy boots. He also brought along his cap and gown, making it feel both laid-back and milestone-worthy all at once. And what made this session even more special? He brought along his beloved cat, Ci Ci, who was an absolute star at both locations.

His siblings were there too, cheering him one -- because this graduation is a big one. Rolando is the last of his family to walk across that high school stage, and you could feel how meaningful that moment was for everyone there.

There was also a quiet, tender touch that didn't go unnoticed. Rolando brought a photo of his dog, who passed away a year ago -- a sweet way of making sure his furry best friend was still part of this milestone.

Rolando, congratulations on your graduation. It was an absolute honor to capture this chapter of your life. Here's to everything that comes next -- may it be just as bold, joyful, and full of life as you are.
